The Peninsula Park Rose Garden is truly a gem in North Portland. Cared for by volunteers in the community, it’s the oldest public rose garden in Portland. Truth be told, the first time I entered it took my breath away. Over 6,000 roses in every color imaginable and free for the public to enjoy!
I had been waiting for the perfect occasion to wear these adorable lace up linen shorts from Free People that I recently thrifted. So when S.J. from All Glam No Filter joined me to explore the rose garden on a sunny Saturday afternoon I knew I had found my chance.
I paired a sleeveless turtle neck top with the shorts, in a neutral color so the shorts could steal the show. 😉
This leather crossbody from The Sak has been my go-to bag this summer. In my humble opinion, a good crossbody is fashionable and functional, with enough room to fit a book. This one hits all the marks.
A couple other summer essentials helped round out the look. My yellow sunnies which I also wore for this fun colorful look and navy Tom’s wedges which I also rocked for the 4th of July.
The Breakdown
Sleeveless turtle neck top – Banana Republic, thrifted for $7
Embroidered shorts – Free People, thrifted for $8
Wedges – Tom’s, thrifted for $10
Sunglasses – Thrifted for $8
Crossbody Bag – The Sak, thrifted for $20
Total Cost $53
