Channeling 70s Vibes with a Vintage Maxi

The magical thing about a good maxi dress is that you put it on and instantly feel like a queen. 💁‍♀️👑 Long gowns bring a certain amount of elegance that shorter dresses seldom deliver. Bonus if it just happens to be made of the most comfortable, breathable, and wrinkle resistant fabric too! With summer being almost over, I’m maxi-mizing my time with this vintage beauty and channeling some 70s vibes.

I couldn’t resist accessorizing this dress with these funky lace dangle earrings. They remind me of a metallic version of grandma’s doilies! I’m sometimes hesitant to wear large earrings out of concern they’ll be too heavy, but these are actually so lightweight and a joy to wear!

Both the dress and earrings were purchased at my favorite vintage shop Most Everything Vintage in Vancouver, WA. The shop is beautifully curated and filled to the brim with true vintage treasures — everything from clothing to vintage slips & undergarments to housewares. If I’m wearing something vintage, there’s a strong possibility I got it at Most Everything. 😉
The Breakdown
Vintage Maxi – Most Everything, $38
Earrings – Most Everything, $15
Sandals – Crown Vintage, on sale $30

Total Cost $83

Just for kicks I looked back over the all the posts since I launched TTOTT in April and found the average cost of all the head-to-toe looks I’ve shared is… only $71!🙀

How thrifty and thrilling is that?!

I’ll be keeping tabs on this average as we continue along with thrifty style. AND next month I’ll be moving beyond fashion to share other aspects of my thrifty lifestyle and why it suits me and my goals. Stay tuned!
